| 2007 Comments: First-year Manager Brian Ruff
did an outstanding job in 2006, taking a Pirates' team to the playoffs
after losing their two best pitchers and several solid every-day
players...Ruff will have a similar task in front of him in 2007 after
losing Brett Vroman and Bill Hezel to Limeport...Brian will look for
his kids to lead the way again this summer...2006 League MVP and
Batting Champ Erik Ruff (.438, 29 Runs, 24 RBI); co-home run leader
Kyle Ruff (.333, 18 RBI) and Cody Ruff will get some help from 2006
Rookie of the Year Jim Young (from Cetronia, .398, 16 runs), Will
Flores (from Cetronia) and George Hutson (from the Northern Yankees).
Pitchers include returnee Mike Pogorzelski (2.03 ERA), newcomers Mike
Denning, Christian Von Kiel, Mike Williams, Anthony Badwell, Brandon
Hodakowski and Ryan Dwyer. |
