| 2007 Comments: The Fleetwings do not want to
be remembered as the Buffalo Bills of the Tri-County League...Despite
being a stellar franchise and making the playoffs in all 8 years of
its existence in the league (including three Finals appearances and
two in a row), the Fleetwings have yet to capture a title...Should be
just a matter of time though as the core of the team is still in tact
entering the 2007 season...Scott Garger (.306, 28 runs, 29 BBs),
Justin Godusky (.318, 30 runs), Ben Swatsky (.330, 9 2Bs, 25 runs, 25
RBIs), Jeremy Arner (.366, 21 runs, 25 RBIs), Matt Marcks (.471, 17
runs), Matt Godusky (.348) and newcomer Scott Matejicka (DeSales) will
lead the offense...Pitchers Scott Bolasky (4-2, 40 K’s, 2.45 ERA), Dan
Hemberger (3-1, 0.63 ERA) Matt Wiltrout (4-4, 1.88 ERA), Ryan Palos
(5-2, 1.63 ERA), Matt Hlay and Adam Miani (Lackawanna College) anchor
a strong staff...Woodlawn will be in the postseason again, and only
time will tell how far they go this time... |
