Johnson is no stranger to the struggles of business, having filed for Replica Handbags UK bankruptcy in 2012, but to her it's all part of the ride. "It ain't hard when you love it," she deadpanned. "It's beautiful when you love it, and I still love it after 50 years. I still love it. I'm creative consultant for all my brands, so I kick them in the ass when they need to get a little more Replica Designer Handbags creative. It's great. It's just perfect. I've had a Cheap Watches UK perfectly wonderful, happy life."As for her plans for the Fake Watches UK awards ceremony, she'll attend with her family, including her daughter, Lulu, Hublot Replica UK and two granddaughters. "I'm going to drag my whole family on stage to cartwheel with me," she laughed about what she'll do when she accepts the Christian Louboutin Replica UK award. Just another thing to look forward to at the CFDA Awards ceremony on June 1.

Steve, How come the Morning Call articles have been removed from the website?

Congratulations on your excellent website. The League has come a long way since 1969 when we only had three teams interested in playing and had to cancel the season. I believe the teams were Salisbury, Silver Creek and Green Lane. Best wishes for a great 2002 year! George Bonekemper
This is our first visit to the web - We find it to be excellent. Thanks for a great job and lots of good info. Don & Sandy Gilbert P.S. We'll be back!!!

The league needs a 10 run rule. With a 36 game schedule, most teams don't want to just keep pounding teams. Going through the motions to play out a game isn't right. If you keep playing hard, teams think you are running it up. This needs to be done!

Holy hubris!
Whew! Great reading. I'm glad the League has a forum for everyone to vent. Remember when many of you didn't even want to PAY for a web site? Now take some of that energy and focus on having a good League, paying well and winning the All-Star Game for a change! -- Jan Ciganick, League Officer 1988-2000
All these rivalries should make for an interesting season. Good luck to all! Josh Goodin
This will be the best comment submitted so far. The president of the league should not also be a player. That is what is wrong with this league. The president makes a good president, he came up with a good website and he is also a good player, but he should choose one or the other. The two don't mix. Sorry
To Mr. “best comment submitted so far”, we are WAY ahead of you, pal. I agree with some of your content, but you need a quick history lesson.
Fact #1: People “in the know” in this league already know that I announced in January – off the record -- that I will NOT be President after this season, I’m stepping down for the very reasons you mentioned, the Player/President thing is NOT a good mix. Obviously, you are not one of these people “in the know”.
Fact #2: I was asked to be PREZ after the 2000 season, when nobody stepped to the plate. I did NOT ask to be PREZ. In fact, I waited 2 months after being asked before I said yes, hoping the Officers would select somebody else.
Fact #3: I accepted the gig on the condition that it would only be for 1 year. We had 2 candidates lined up for 2002, but for reasons that are nobody’s business, it didn’t work out, so I decided to do it one more year (with permission from the managers) and that would be it.
Fact #4: I already have a great candidate lined up for 2003, but there may be other great candidates, so there will be a committee of managers put together at the end of this season to decide who will be PREZ in 2003, then a vote by ALL managers, and there will be a bylaw added stating that it cannot be a player.
Observation #1: Since you seem to know something about this league, maybe you have a candidate in mind?
Observation #2: Maybe you should have made this statement back in the Fall of 2001, when it actually would’ve meant something, instead of now, when it is too late and the issue has already been addressed.
Observation #3: This league has NEVER been stronger, it’s the best league in the Valley now –after the BML dominated for about 40 years straight – so me being PREZ hasn’t hurt anything.
Observation #4: There was no need to apologize, you should’ve had your name there instead.
Steve Smull, Player/President, Tri-County League
After reading all this stuff for the last three days, I figure I'll finally chime in. First Sean A.(and this is prob. water over the dam by now) you saw how our field looked on Sunday, you can't believe there was a way we could have played Sat. Second,to L.T. No one was or will ever be instructed to "bean" someone. To everyone else the game ended and we all shook hands without a single comment. Third, I agree with Schmitty, sign your name when you want to make a comment. Fourth, I also agree with George G. I was amused reading all this and it tells me how competitive the league is. Fifth, Steve Smull is the BEST PRESIDENT THIS LEAGUE HAS EVER HAD, and have no problem with him playing.Lastly, I agree there is a ton of talent in the league this year and we need to bring a W back to Tri Co. this July...Bro-Mgr.V.P.
The message above is not from me although, I do agree that we need to beat the BML this year.... Jason Strunk
who submitted the "best comment so far?"
The last two years I have heard several stories about the two leagues combining. There are alot of positive and negative comments from both sides. What everyone fails to realize is, both leagues combining would be the best thing that could happen for both leagues. Imagine the league that could be put together. The problem is, there are too many egos that get in the way. What people don't understand, is that no one has to swallow their pride and eat crow. No one has to change anything for this to happen. Pride and tradition stays intact. So, this is what I would propose:
*One Big League: ie.(Major League Baseball), ours would be called (Lehigh Valley Amatuer Baseball League)
*You then have your two leagues within one big league. Example:(National and American League), We would just keep our names in tact. This way no one has to lose any tradition. Just a small preview: Lehigh Valley Amatuer Baseball League: Blue Mountain League: Tri-County League: 1)Hellertown 1)Gabelsville 2)Martins Creek 2)I.C.C. 3)Lower Nazareth 3)Limeport 4)Catty 4)Lehigh Township 5)Limeport 5)Tri City
Both leagues keep their same rules, officers and everything they have been doing up until now. You run it just the way the MLB does. Hopefully we don't have any Bud Selig involved. You would play everyone in your own league such and such amount of times, and play everyone once in the other league. Then each league would go about their playoffs, the way we do now. At the end we would have a World Series or a Valley Series so to speak. Talk about good intense baseball. You want to talk about bragging rights or better yet which league has one up on the other. That one game in July would not compare to this. If you love the game of Baseball, how could you not want this to happen. Just a thought. Any other opinions, please resond.
Ps. You want to find out who is the best in the Valley, this is the only way to go. Good for fans, good for Baseball.
From a Tri-Co Manager
I am glad you made a comment like that. That is what would make things so interesting. The contrast in both leagues makes for very exciting baseball. Do you think the National and American leagues are the same style of baseball? Our leagues are different. Therefore, putting both leagues together would be very fun to see which style of baseball is supreme. People get the wrong idea about these two leagues combining. It is not saying one league is weaker than the other, so we better combine. What it is saying, lets combine to see which league is actually stronger. Which brand of baseball is better than the other. Lets not make silly statements on paper, let us put it to the test on the field.
Ps. would love to hear more comments on this subject.
The only thing I have to say is that there are about 2 good umpires in this league. All the other umpires now are just looking to throw people out and it is a disgrace to baseball!!
There are a LOT more than 2 good umpires doing games in the Tri-County League. However, we are trying to clean up the language, the equipment throwing and the bad behavior that happens every now and then.
Our Officers and I met with the BUA (Bethlehem Umpire's Association) President before the 2002 season. We gave the umpires cart blanche to toss players/managers left and right for the 2002 season in an effort to make this league attractive to obtain better umpires. We will not tolerate bad language, equipment throwing or verbal abuse toward the umpires who do games in this league. Period.
I told the BUA PREZ that I will back them up. We even changed a bylaw at their request to get rid of the warning we used to give players/managers for their 1st ejection of the season. No more warnings. You get ejected, you sit the next game, at least. Due to incidents that have occurred already in 2002, I have put one team on probation for 5 weeks and have given a manager on another team a stern warning.
We had 11 players ejected in 2001. We already have 5 players ejected in 2002 through just 2 weeks of the season. Is this a bad thing? We'll just have to see. But, be warned, the umpires do have a quick trigger for the 2002 season, and to this point, have my blessing to be "quick on the draw"...However, if umpires start abusing this "right", the policy will be reviewed and we will have a talk with the BUA. We ARE monitoring which umpires are doing the ejections.
Players/managers, please email me with any incidents that occur where you feel an umpire is abusing his authority. It does work both ways. But for the system to improve between players and umpires, we need to have COMMUNICATION between the two. So email me with ANY umpire issues during the 2002 season.
Steve Smull -- PREZ
Would it be possible to put the players uniform #'s on the roster? J Swatsky , Fan, Father. PS GREAT JOB on the site!
I know umpiring is not the easiest thing to do but while we are on the subject here is a little trivia.
Q: During a run down two runners end up on the same base. How many runners are out?
A: That's ok if you don't know. The umpire didn't either!!!!

Is there ANY other summer baseball league in the region that can provide today's boxscores before tomorrow morning's newspaper?
Mike Bracco, you are the best brother and the greatest ball player.........luv ya always your sister DanaBurns
A few questions about the league, from an educated observer....1) Does the title go through Boyertown again? 2) Is the noose tightening at Lehigh Twp? 3) Does Banko's have the arms to contend? 4) Does ICC have the defense to contend? 5) Is limeport the hottest team currently? 6) When will Tri City get it going? 7) Cetronia- Tough to figure out! 8) Does Lower Naz need 1 more top arm? 9)Northern Yanks- the most dangerous team around? 10) When will Jordan Creek make that annual playoff run? 11) Does Upper Perk have enough talent to play a spoiler role? 12) S. Whitehall has a few pitchers who can give you headaches 13) Will Milford be around next year? Just curious how many people are thinking the same thing.....
well lets have it , were halfway and all the rosters are set, whose the team to beat?

Steve, I think you are doing a very good job of administering the website. Thank you for all your work.
Steve, can you change the comments area to include a field for the sender's name? Make it a required field. Maybe that would help to eliminate bashing comments. By the way I agree that the league needs to attract better umpires. Ed Kushma, a fan
